Storm-hit Belgian festival Pukkelpop to return in 2012

The scene after a storm swept through the Pukkelpop open air music festival
The Belgian festival where four music fans died in violent storms will return in 2012.
More than 70 people were also injured when staging collapsed and giant screens fell as the storm struck Hasselt, eastern Belgium in August.
It led to the festival, which was set to feature performances from Foo Fighters and Eminem, being cancelled.
Organisers say it will return on 16-18 August 2012.
Festival returnA statement said the event would come back in its "original form".
It continued: "Three days, eight stages, a mixture of the best bands, DJs and sideshows of the moment combined with a distinctive focus on artists of tomorrow."
A government report published at the end of September said that what happened in August was a "natural disaster".

It meant organisers were cleared of any blame, but also meant the damage incurred by the event and festival-goers was not covered by insurance.
As compensation organisers have announced they're offering food and drink vouchers for the next three years of the event to those fans affected by the cancellation.
"Pukkelpop has suffered considerable financial losses," they said.
"The festival will only be able to survive with the support of many and thanks to the strong reputation it has built up in the past.
"The consequences of our decision to pay restitution will weigh heavily on Pukkelpop, the festival as well as the organisers, in the coming years."
Following this year's cancelled event a support fund was set up with donations being spread between the families of the victims of the disaster.
