We are more than we think we are. Maybe we should think differently.

A novel look at couple of things......

I would bet that this has some relationship to why some individuals claim they see their entire life go by in a near death experience. Just think about it - the adrenaline is there, it may unlock thee same mass memory these people see all the time

Second, I agree that the less memory one has to access - the more you have to think around things. I know I do not believe I have this memory phenomena - quite thee opposite actually... I do feel my opposite condition is why I think more - I have nearly 30 patents ??

Very cool story. When I watched it all that came to mind was 'evolution'. These people are like walking google search bars. Maybe as humans began to live longer there grew a greater need for longer memories/more refined memories and this is an outcome of that? I know that some people might say that what I said doesn't make sense because this extra memory doesn't meet the natural selection criteria etc. But I think there is more than meets the eye when it comes to dna/genes. The more research we do on epi-genetics and what happens 'outside' of our 'designated dna role', so to speak, might give us more clues as to what are full potential is as humans and give us a better picture of what exactly makes us what we are and who we become (more than just nurture and nature even).

I'm amazed at these people and how much they remember. I definitely think we need to study more about this and if more people can be taught to use there brain in the same way . who knows what all can be learned from these people. It exciting.I'm glad you did this story.

At first blush, one might see many positives of this type of memory--filling out forms, being able to give answers to questions without the usual doubt one feels, etc. But the one woman who talked of her feelings when sad things are recalled remind me, for one, of the advantage of not always being perfect in some things. When one cannot recall perfectly, one is able to have the ability to forget what is better not recalled. There is a blessing in that.

Frankly; this kind of memory only applies to people who have an intense fixation with calendars. That is the real issue here.

What would be really amazing, I mean really, is to go for a previous life memory through hypnosis.

If they could recall a previous life that would be spectacular. Those that do only remember portions usually. With total memory it could be checked out so fine.
