Jessie Parsons

Jessie ParsonsJessie is a Project Developer working on the Full of Life project, part of the Wellbeing and Resilience Measure (WARM).

On graduating from the University of St. Andrews with a degree in Psychology I felt ill prepared to understand the reality of life. Having spent the last two years working as a visual artist, exploring the world from a different angle, I am now particularly excited about working on innovative social projects that integrate both creative and scientific approaches to challenges. This is what drew me to the work of the Young Foundation.

I have been involved in developing a variety of social projects, from setting up a new email based confidential listening service for the St. Andrews University Nightline to helping on the committee of Hidden Door Festival - an independent festival that brings together visual art, music and poetry in interactive performance, with the aim of reshaping the way audiences interact with Art.

Working on the Full of Life project is affording me an excellent opportunity to develop my skills in facilitating innovation, my interest in implementing findings from Psychology research in meaningful ways and my passion for projects that support individuals at pivotal points in their lives.
