Lucia Caistor-Arendar

Lucia Caistor-ArendarLucia is a Researcher and works on Future Communities.

Lucia's work focuses on issues relating to local communities, housing and the built environment. The Future Communities programme involves working with local and national agencies to explore ways in which new and existing housing developments can become places where people want to live.

Lucia trained to be an architect for five years in Glasgow, London and Switzerland and has spent a lot of time in Latin America, particularly in Peru and Argentina where she was involved in local community projects. Lucia has also been involved in various projects concerning urban regeneration and community development such as Future First and Open City. Prior to the Young Foundation, Lucia worked for Meanwhile Space CIC where her role involved providing research and support for projects around the country. Currently Lucia is undertaking a Masters at UCL in Urban Studies and is setting up a social enterprise called Make-Do.
