Sophie Hostick-Boakye

Sophie is an Associate and works on Building Local Activism.

Sophie joined the Young Foundation to work as Research and Programme Support on the Innovation Catalyst, a project working with four local authorities to look at how to reduce youth crime. Sophie has also worked on the UpRising Leadership Programme, the London Collaborative, a programme designed to improve the capacity of London's public sector to work across boundaries of place, profession and organisation, and Supporting Local Social Enterprises, a project working with local authorities to help them develop their local social enterprise sector.

Prior to joining the Young Foundation, Sophie worked for Humberside Police, initially as Hate Crime Co-ordinator, running a hate crime reporting scheme, and later as Review & Research Officer, reviewing departments and providing recommendations for improvement.

Sophie holds a BA (Hons) in Sociology and Social Anthropology from the University of Hull.
