Our Financial Products team delivers the Bloomberg Professional® service–the legendary core product and financial backbone of Bloomberg. It’s our eponymous Bloomberg terminal, serving more than 300,000 paid subscribers.
The Bloomberg Professional® service offers thousands of unique product applications, called "functions" in Bloomberg language. These different functions provide market solutions to financial market professionals.
The info on each function is granular, time-sensitive and continuously updated. To market professionals, these scrolling graphics, trending numbers and dynamic tables reveal opportunities in which to profit. What’s more, this functionality constantly advances. We add value through new features and functions. Clients often require fast consultation and assistance to streamline new functionality into their workflow.
Financial Products consists of several closely netted businesses, including Sales & Analytics, Core Terminal, Tradebook®, Trading Solutions and more. Together, we provide solutions both on and off the Bloomberg desktop. Speaking 95 languages and providing support in more than 160 countries, we help clients revolutionize markets.
Who thrives here? People enamored by the financial world. Internships in Financial Products predominantly focus on Analytics, where we assist, advise and convey the immediate value of core Bloomberg solutions. In some regions, Interns split time between Analytics and our Sales division.

Case Study: New Launchpad
The New Launchpad is a breakout Bloomberg function, encompassing the efforts of Financial Product Sales & Analytics, R&D;, Global Data, the Chief Technology Office and several other key areas of Bloomberg.
What does it do?
The New Launchpad is a customizable dashboard with intuitive drag-and-drop functionality. It delivers the power of Bloomberg at a glance–presenting dynamic charts, graphs, stories and series of information in easy-to-access windows.
Why does it matter?
This function empowers users to design their own Bloomberg environment–digitally and physically. It allows them to take their favorite parts of Bloomberg, size them up and arrange them within their personal set-up of monitors, LED TV screens, projectors and more.
How is it revolutionary?
New Launchpad windows are not just independent presentations of data; they work in collaboration. Each window is capable of transferring and interpreting the data of its companion windows. For example, a graph of a company’s current valuation can be dragged and dropped into special analysis functions.

You’ll be immersed in a range of topics, including fixed income and equity fundamentals, interest rates and derivatives. Specialized Internship Programs
B-Trained Internship Program: U.S.
Do you have an interest in software AND finance? Are you eager to learn how to program? Bloomberg is offering "B-Trained for Summer in the City": a spring evening training class and paid Summer Internship designed for students who have basic programming knowledge and are interested in a career in software development. This training class occurs in the evening for 12 weeks, followed by a 12-week paid Summer Internship as a Financial Software Developer.
Team with colleagues and learn from the experienced instructors in Bloomberg Research & Development. You’ll apply your knowledge in a practical, fast-paced business environment. Successful graduates of the program will have the opportunity to join the Financial Software Developer Summer Internship class.
Boot Camp
University undergraduates captivated by the worlds of finance and financial technology–welcome to Bloomberg. Enter the leading global provider of financial data, analytics and news. Our challenge to you: test yourself. Put your talents to work by applying for the Bloomberg Analytics Summer Boot Camp.
Your core assignment: spend one week in the world’s fastest-paced business environment. Our program is designed to provide critical exposure to our Financial Product Sales & Analytics business. Be immersed in a range of topics, including fixed income and equity fundamentals, interest rates and derivatives. Learn from the best in the industry, and participate in leadership meetings and networking activities.
After attending Bloomberg Analytics Summer Boot Camp, you’ll have a foundational understanding of the Bloomberg Professional® service. Perform well, and you may receive an offer for an internship next summer.
