Gathering more than 1,400 participants from around the world, John Carroll Weekend San Francisco was the largest-ever Georgetown event held on the West Coast. A program full of alumni-led tours, faculty lectures and parties drew 454 John Carroll Weekend first-timers and 155 young alumni to the Bay Area for a four-day celebration of the Georgetown community.

Alumni, family and friends enjoyed behind-the-scenes tours of Facebook and Cisco, discovered the latest developments in biotechnology and mingled with university leadership at receptions celebrating LGBTQ and multicultural Hoyas. At the fourth annual Global Forum Focus Series, distinguished panelists discussed ground-breaking developments in global innovation, 21st century higher education and social entrepreneurship.

On Saturday night, five alumni and one friend of Georgetown received the alumni association’s highest honors—the John Carroll and Patrick Healy Awards. See their stories here.
