“I hope to have communion with the people, that is the most important thing.” — Pope John Paul
Roman Catholic Ministry
Catholic Campus Ministry provides a rich array of spiritual, liturgical, educational, and social opportunities for the Georgetown University community. For those interested in joining the Catholic Church, becoming confirmed, or receiving first Communion, Georgetown provides an inquiry program.
Dahlgren Chapel is home to a worshiping community made up of undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, staff, local community members, and alumni. Dahlgren liturgies offer something for everyone, from quiet contemplation to upbeat celebration. The chapels at the Medical Center and the Law Center offer liturgies for professional students, staff, and faculty.
Catholic Ministry invites its members to engage in service and encourages them to reflect on their work in the light of their faith. Retreat programs offer opportunities for reflection and spiritual growth. Students are active in liturgical and music ministries as well as various Catholic student groups. You are warmly invited to get involved -- check out our Main Campus Programs, Student Groups, Photos, and upcoming Events. You can also find us on Facebook.
