Deadline: November 16, 2011 The Open Society Roma Initiatives invite proposals from organizations to conduct background research for a project assessing the situation of Roma in 12 European cities.

Call for Applications: Open Society Foundations/Centre National des Œuvres Universitaires et Scolaires Awards for Study in France
Deadline: January 16, 2012 The French government program for Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan offers awards for postgraduate study at universities in France, in cooperation with the Open Society Foundations and the Centre National des Œuvres Universitaires et Scolaires.

Call for Entries: Chachipe Map Photo Contest
Deadline: November 20, 2011 Chachipe Map seeks nonstereotypical photographs that show Roma and non-Roma living together, and that approach topics in an open manner and even employ radically new perspectives.

Call for Proposals: Addressing the Situation of Women and Girls with Disabilities in Post-Conflict Countries
Deadline: December 5, 2011 The Open Society International Women’s Program and the Disability Rights Initiative invite proposals addressing the situation of women and girls with disabilities in the following post-conflict countries: Nepal, Palestine, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Colombia.

Call for Applications: Open Society Foundations/University of Cambridge Scholarships
Deadline: November 25, 2011 Scholars from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Macedonia, Moldova, Palestine, Serbia, Turkmenistan and Ukraine are invited to apply for awards in the social sciences and humanities.

Deadline: November 30, 2011 The At Home in Europe Project invites proposals to increase opportunities for the inclusion and participation of minorities and marginalized groups in Antwerp and in Marseille.

Call for Applications: Drugs, Security, and Democracy Fellowship
Deadline: January 20, 2012 The Drugs, Security, and Democracy Fellowship Program supports research on organized crime, drug policy, issues of governance and associated topics across the social sciences and related disciplines.

Call for Applications: Think Tank Internships for MA and PhD Graduates
Deadline: November 10, 2011 Internships are available for recent graduates of MA and PhD programs in social sciences and humanities who were recipients of fellowships from the Open Society Scholarship Programs or who graduated from the Central European University within the past three years.

Call for Applications: DAAD-OSI Scholarship Program
Deadline: October 31, 2011 The German Academic Exchange Service and Open Society Scholarship Programs sponsor a joint scholarship program for graduate students in the Balkans and graduate students and junior faculty in the Transcaucasian and Central Asian countries of the former Soviet Union.

Call for Applications: Social Work Fellowship Program
Deadline: November 11, 2011 Open to residents of Jordan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan, this fellowship is designed to provide training in social work to implement reform, create policy, and foster the development of social work in the participating countries.

Call for Applications: Justice Initiative Fellows Program
Deadline: January 25, 2012 Applications are currently being accepted for the Justice Initiative Fellows Program at Central European University. The two-year program aims to develop a network of lawyers and activists working on human rights issues internationally.

Deadline: March/April 2012 The Open Society Foundations offer undergraduate scholarships for students from Haiti, Liberia, and Sierra Leone to study at EARTH University in Costa Rica.

Call for Applications: Undergraduate Exchange Program
Deadline: December 1, 2011 The Undergraduate Exchange Program supports students from Albania, Kosovo, and Ukraine for one year of non-degree academic studies and service learning, and one subsequent year in their home country leading a community service project.

Call for Proposals: Youth Policy
Deadline: Ongoing The Open Society Youth Initiative invites proposals for funding to curate thematically focused pages on a global youth policy portal.

Call for Applications: Central Asia and Caucasus Research and Training Initiative
Deadline: November 7, 2011 The Open Society Foundations invite young academics working towards their first doctorate and recent graduates of PhD or equivalent programs in Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan to apply for fellowships supporting the development of original scholarly research.

Deadine: Ongoing The Open Society Foundations invite proposals for new and innovative initiatives that promote tolerance and inclusion and/or combat racism and xenophobia in Europe.
