This Block 10B F-16A, S/N 79-0402, nicknamed "Little Precious," was manufactured by the Fort Worth Division of General Dynamics Corporation in Fort Worth, Texas, and gained by the Air Force on 11 December 1981.

It was retained by the manufacturer for flight test support and was consequently deployed to Edwards AFB, California, and Hill AFB. In February 1983 it was transferred to the Air Force Flight Test Center at Edwards AFB.

The following month it moved to the Ogden Air Logistics Center at Hill AFB for flight test support. In 1994 the aircraft was assigned to the 514th Flight Test Squadron, Air Force Materiel Command, at Hill.

In 1995 it was retired to the Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Center at Davis-Monthan AFB, Arizona. It was later pulled from AMARC, partially restored, and placed on a display pedestal at the West Gate of Hill AFB.
