  • Obstetrics and Gynecology, Department of

    Third-year medical students spend a six-week clerkship in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. The clerkship program takes place at Georgetown University Hospital, Arlington Hospital and Washington Hospital Center. During the rotation, a core lecture series is presented at Georgetown covering the basic principles of obstetrics and gynecology. Students also attend lectures and conferences held at their individual hospitals and return to Georgetown for grand rounds.

  • Oncology, Department of

    The Department of Oncology is research-oriented and does not have direct clinical activity. But the department does maintain two collaborative clinical sciences divisions with membership from several Georgetown University Medical Center (GUMC) and Georgetown University Hospital clinical departments. Department of Oncology faculty are members of the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center, but Lombardi membership also extends into many other GUMC basic science and clinical departments.

  • Ophthalmology, Department of

    The Georgetown University Ophthalmic Medical Personnel (GUOMP) Training Program is designed to prepare students for a career assisting ophthalmologists and to enhance the knowledge and skills of those already employed in the field of ophthalmic medical assisting.
