Using media to improve livelihoods
The majority of people in the world do not have reliable sources of food, income and employment. Half the world - nearly three billion people - lives on less than $2 a day. Over two-thirds of them rely on small-scale agriculture for their food and wages. We believe that people need skills and knowledge to improve their livelihoods. We work in partnership with the BBC Somali Service, the Africa Educational Trust, the European Union's Rehabilitation Programme for Somalia and a wide range of stakeholders in the country to deliver relevant knowledge and skills to all those working in the livestock sector.   Read more

Working in partnership with local broadcaster, the Amhara Mass Media Agency, we produced Ethiopia's first radio soap opera recorded on location - designed to stimulate debate about key development issues.  Read more
