  • Main Campus Executive Faculty

    The Main Campus Executive Faculty, in collaboration with the Office of the Provost and the deans, formulates Main Campus academic policies. Academic policies are those that concern such fundamental areas as curriculum, content and methods of instruction and the conditions of faculty life in terms of teaching, research and service. Main Campus policies are those that are not confined to one school or that affect the Main Campus as a whole.

  • Medicine, Georgetown Women in

    Georgetown Women in Medicine (GWIM) seeks to strengthen the role of women faculty at Georgetown University Medical Center (GUMC) by addressing challenges experienced by women faculty including the proportion of women in key leadership positions, pay inequities, retention during childbearing years, and challenges in obtaining promotion and tenure. GWIM mentors women faculty, hosts professional development programs, and communicates GWIM’s activities to the Medical Center.

  • Mission and Ministry, Office of

    The Office of Mission and Ministry contributes to the development, animation, and coordination of the University-wide process of maintaining and promoting the Ignatian heritage, the Catholic identity and the Jesuit mission of the University. In keeping with the mission, the office will develop programs and initiatives, which engage students, faculty, administration, staff, directors, regents, alumni and donors in the understanding of our religious identity and commitments. In addition, the Office of Mission and Ministry will serve as a locus for service to the Catholic Church and the Society of Jesus, as well as supporting University-based programs, which encourage interreligious understanding and dialogue.

  • Muslim Ministry

    The Copley Muslim Prayer Room provides five daily congregational prayers for the students, faculty, staff and visitors to Georgetown. In addition to these worship services, Friday prayers, Qiyam Al-Layls and faith activities, such as weekly halaqas, Islamic lecture series and Ramadhan iftars are conducted at various times during the academic year.
