Thin ice

Frozen Planet is a landmark series that takes you on the ultimate polar expedition across the great frozen wildernesses of the Arctic and Antarctic.

In the final episode of Frozen Planet, Sir David Attenborough journeys to both poles to investigate the effects of rising temperatures on the ice, its peoples and the wildlife. The disappearing sea ice means there is less hunting ground for polar bears. There is also a shift in penguin populations, as ice-loving Adelies are replaced by the more temperature loving gentoos.

Narrated by Sir David Attenborough, the story concludes with On Thin Ice now available on iPlayer.
