Biography

Stefan Söldner-Rembold is currently Spokesperson of the DØ Experiment at the Fermilab Tevatron near to Chicago, after being DØ Physics Coordinator from 2007 until 2009.  His main research interest on DØ is the search for Higgs bosons. He also is a member of the NEMO-3 and SuperNEMO collaborations searching for neutrinoless double beta decay. He was a member of STFC’s Particle Physics Grants Panel (PPGP) from 2005 until 2009.

From 1999 until 2003 he was Heisenberg Fellow of the German Research Foundation (DFG) working as Guest Scientist at Fermilab and as Scientific Associate and OPAL Physics Coordinator at CERN (2000-2001). From 1992 until 1999 he worked at Freiburg University, first on the ZEUS Experiment at DESY in Hamburg and then on the OPAL Experiment at CERN.

Stefan Söldner--Rembold received his Habilitation from Freiburg University in 1996 and graduated as Dr.rer.nat. from the Technical University of Munich/Max Planck Institute for Physics in 1992, with a thesis based on research undertaken with the E665 Experiment at Fermilab. As an undergraduate he studied at Bonn University. He was born in Munich, Germany.
