Technical faults

If you have discovered a technical fault on a BBC website please accept our apologies. We aim to keep our sites free from errors and appreciate your help in bringing mistakes to our attention.

For full information about the BBC Homepage, and how to send your feedback about it, please visit our blog.

If you have technical difficulties with TV or radio reception, go to our Help Receiving BBC TV and Radio site.

The best way to report a website error is to contact the site directly via the Contact Us link on any page. Your report is then sent directly to the team responsible for that site.

In some cases you may be able to remedy an error yourself. Before contacting us:

  • Make sure you have typed the web address correctly. Check the address and spelling, making sure that it does not contain capital letters or spaces.
  • Make sure you are using a recent version of your browser and that JavaScript is enabled. You can find further details about this at BBC WebWise.
  • Check you have the correct plugins needed for some interactive elements of our sites. You can find more details about plugins at BBC WebWise.

Still having technical difficulties?

Depending on where you've found the fault, please contact the BBC News site, the BBC World Service site, BBC iPlayer or the BBC Online website technical fault page. Unfortunately, due to the large volume of mail we receive we're unable to offer technical advice and usually cannot reply personally. However, we appreciate your efforts in keeping us informed of any errors and read all mail we receive.
