Jordan, Saudi Arabia hold talks on averting dual taxation

AMMAN — Jordan and Saudi Arabia on Thursday held a first round of talks on averting dual taxation.

Officials from the two countries took part in the talks which continued for five days.

A statement issued by the Income and Sales Tax Department said: “The signing of an agreement to avoid double taxation and curb tax evasion between the two countries will help increase and stimulate joint investments.” The department indicated that a second round of talks is expected to be held next year in Saudi Arabia, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
