Headline:

Generally unsettled, chilly and windy, with rain in northwestern UK.

This Evening and Tonight:

Remaining very windy, with severe gales and further outbreaks of rain in the north of the UK at first, and hill snow in Scotland. Clearer elsewhere with fewer showers but these may turn to snow over hills in northern England.

Thursday:

Generally chilly, rather cloudy and unsettled, with showers or longer spells of rain chiefly affecting the north and west, with hill snow in the north. Brightest in eastern areas.
