The Voice of America Studio Tour is a behind-the-scenes look at live broadcasting in radio, television, and the Internet in several of our 43 languages.  Tours are guided with audio and video features, and last 45 minutes. 

The Voice of America is an international multimedia news broadcast facility operating around the clock.

Tours are conducted in English.  Tour versions in Spanish and Mandarin Chinese are available upon request in advance.

A special "Kid's Version" of the tour is also  available for families and school groups upon request.

Security Screening

All bags and visitors will be screened. Visitors should plan to arrive 10 minutes before their scheduled tour. Avoid bringing unnecessary belongings. Weapons and sharp objects are prohibited.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) requires visitors and guests entering all Federal facilities, including the VOA building, to present a valid US Federal or state-issued picture ID, such as a driver's license, passport or state-issued ID. A non-US citizen is required to provide their foreign issued passport. The building guards cannot accept other documents or waive these requirements.

The Cohen building which houses VOA is also home to a historic mural, "The Meaning of Social Security," commissioned by the Works Progress Administration/Federal Arts Program in 1940.
