Country living must suit Nicole Kidman.

The Oscar-winning actress, 39, and country music star Keith Urban, 38, were married Sunday in Sydney. The event capped off a week of headlines on Kidman's every move leading up to the wedding.

Site: Cardinal Cerretti Memorial Chapel on St. Patrick's Estate in Manly, Sydney.

Guests: The candlelit ceremony at sundown was attended by close family and a smattering of A-listers that, according to People magazine and TV's Entertainment Tonight, included Russell Crowe, Hugh Jackman, Naomi Watts and Rupert Murdoch.

Details: Kidman's gown was by Nicolas Ghesquiere for Balenciaga, and she carried a bouquet of white roses. Urban wore a black suit with a white rose on the lapel.

Her billowy veil was lifted only when it came time to say the vows, which were traditional, People reports.

Under the veil was a hairstyle by Australian Kerry Warn, who also coiffed Kidman for Bewitched, The Stepford Wives and Cold Mountain, ET reports.

The ceremony lasted about 30 minutes, ET says, and the reception was held on the grounds of the estate. People reports that Jackman and Crowded House's Neil Finn performed at the after-party and that it had a "passion" theme with red carnations on chandeliers and red roses on tables.

The flowers for the ceremony: white freesias, gardenias and carnations by Sydney florist Saskia Havekes, People says.

According to ET, as thousands of fans and members of the media stood outside the gates of St. Patrick's, wedding guests arrived in black Mercedes-Benzes, white vans and Audis.

The groom's party traveled to the ceremony in black BMWs. The bridal party traveled in two 1960s white Rolls-Royces, which were accompanied by police escorts.

Entourage: Kidman's father, Antony, walked her down the aisle. Her sister Antonia was matron of honor, and daughter Isabella, 13, was a bridesmaid. On the groom's side were Urban's brother Shane, the best man, and friend Marlon Holden, who produced Urban's first solo album in 1991.

Couple's history: It's the second marriage for Kidman, who was married to Tom Cruise from 1990 to 2001. (They have two children: Isabella and Connor, 11.) It's Urban's first marriage.

The fellow Aussies were first romantically linked last July. Photos of them cuddling surfaced in the gossip weeklies. But up until last month, when Kidman let slip on a red carpet that she was engaged, they never acknowledged their romance.

Final word: Urban's rep, Paul Freundlich, released this statement from the couple: "We just want to thank everyone in Australia and around the world who have sent us their warm wishes."
