They Are Fat & Salty - Oysters Are Back

Wednesday December 28, 2011
Domilise's

If you are a fan of oysters, whether on the half shell, fried, on a poboy or in a casserole, well you're in luck if you live in New Orleans. Oysters are the best they can be this time of the year, fat and salty. They are also plentiful after a year which saw our local waters contaminated by the horrible oil spill. All of that is pretty much ancient history now and our seafood industry is once again on the upsurge.

You can get your fill of these delicious bi-valves at just about any restaurant, seafood store, oyster bar and even at local grocery stores and supermarkets. Prices for these delicacies are around their normal range which makes them even more enjoyable.

C'mon down and belly up to the bar and order a couple of dozen. Perhaps we will bump elbows one day!
