Most people think of the iPhone as being available in the U.S. through three phone companies: AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon. But last year, a fourth joined those ranks: C Spire Wireless, a regional carrier in the deep South. The number of small, regional carriers offering the iPhone 4 and 4S ballooned yesterday when 6 new companies joined in. On April 20, customers of the following companies will be able to get the iPhone from Alaska Communications, Appalachian Wireless, Cellcom (WI), GCI (Alaska), Matanuska Telephone Association (Alaska), and nTelos (VA).
Speaking of regional iPhone news, AT&T is expanding its 4G LTE network to parts of Indiana and Texas next week.
Worker wages are set to rise at Hon Hai Precision Industry, the parent company of Foxconn, Apple's Chinese manufacturing partner.
Despite rumblings from the U.S. government that it plans to sue Apple and major publishers for e-book price fixing, Apple is reportedly reluctant to settle. Some of the publishers, on the other hand, are ready to come to an agreement.
