Seattle Parking Resources

Friday January 13, 2012

Seattle parking is one of my least favorite aspects of this rainy city by the sea. If there were just one parking company and one flat rate, that would be awesome, but there's not! There are many parking companies operating within Seattle, as well as street parking managed by the Seattle Department of Transportation.

If you don't know one from the other, or just want some tips on issues to watch out for when searching for a great parking lot, you've come to the right place.

Next time you're stuck wondering what to pay and when to pay it at an unattended Seattle parking lot, check here for contact information and parking tips! This article is going to be a work in progress and I welcome any additional parking tips, recommendations for best parking lots in Seattle, and more.

LeMay Car Museum Gets National Attention

Wednesday January 11, 2012

LeMay Car MuseumLeMay - America's Car Museum in Tacoma got some cool national attention today, listed as one of the 8 big openings of 2012 in "USA Today."

The LeMay museum will be the second public location to feature just some of the vast LeMay car collection, which topped out at 3,500 privately collected cars and has gained a Guinness World Record. The new museum in Tacoma is an impressive four-stories tall and will house about 500 vehicles, many from the LeMay collection, but many from other private collections, too. It opens on June 2, 2012. The old location will remain open and is located at 152nd Street E and Pacific Avenue in Spanaway.

Valentine's Day Events

Friday January 6, 2012

Beyond ideas of what to do for Valentine's Day, the Seattle-area has many events going on specifically for this holiday.

Many of these are designed for couples, such as cooking classes at Efeste Winery or learning to make a pie at Art of the Pie. But others, such as ask the "sexpert" or going to a theatre show are open to anyone whether they're married, dating, single, or other!

If there are other cool events going on in Seattle, Tacoma, or anywhere in between for Valentine's Day, please post them in the forum or post them in response to one of these blog posts. I'd love to add any events open to the public to the list!
