Reception of TG4, RTÉ One and RTÉ Two
The UK and Ireland Governments have confirmed that they will ensure that TG4 will be made available on digital terrestrial television to much of Northern Ireland, and will also facilitate the provision of RTÉ One and RTÉ Two. See here for more information. Digital UK will provide advice on the coverage of these services, and guidance on what equipment to buy, as plans are developed.
The Republic of Ireland is also switching to digital TV. The digital terrestrial service, Saorview, will be extended to people who cannot currently receive it. The Republic will switch in a single stage on 24 October 2012. Visit www.goingdigital.ie for more information.
