Libya postpones adopting election law

Tripoli - Libya's ruling National Transitional Council on Sunday postponed the adoption of a new election law which it discussed at a meeting, a council member told AFP.

NTC member Abdelrazzak al-Arabi said the adoption of the election law was postponed to January 28.

He also said an article stipulating that 10% of seats of the constitutional assembly be reserved for women was expected to be scrapped in the final draft of the law.
