For many years Cleveland's Regional Transit Authority (RTA) and its predecessor Cleveland Transit System offered "Football Flyers".
People could park at the designated area - malls, Park-n-Rides, etc - and take the bus to and from the football games, and in the late 90's to the baseball games (especially playoff games). The buses left to the games 1.5 hr before the start and left the stadium area 45 min after the game.
The RTA receives monies from the Federal gov't. A few years back it was written into the renewal of law that the transit systems could not receive monies if it was being used for the benefit of a singular business.
So the "Football Flyers" were removed, and now we have to take the regular bus system or drive.
Last time I used the regular bus system a drunk with a bottle got on board the bus I took home. That was after he pestered everyone at the downtown stop for a smoke. Not a pleasant experience.

Ya know, Newt might agree with you.
He's paying over 25% of his income in taxes, versus Romney who's only paying 15% of his income in taxes.

Speaking of gov'ts tossing money around....
Ohio's governor found $400 million in an attempt to lure Sears from Illinois to Columbus.
According to the office of Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn, Ohio is offering $400 million in tax breaks and other incentives to lure Sears to the Columbus area.

But the state can't find $300 million to fix infrastructure.
ODOT Director Jerry Wray said Monday the state doesn't have the money to meet growing, unrealistic demand for dozens of big-ticket road and bridge projects across the state.

There may be a country or 2 that has a higher rate.
Other countries may have a lower tax rate, but their gov'ts might not be a generous on what can be deducted before the tax rate is applied.

Bush43 lost because of two reasons.
A) Ross Perot took some of his votes.
B) He had the audacity to raise taxes after "read my lips",
which angered "the base".
Grover Norquist spoke at the Clevelanc City Club a few weeks back and used Bush43 to point out what happens when an 'R' raises taxes.
