OSI-Baltimore is pleased to announce a call for 2012 Baltimore Community Fellows. In addition to the ten slots that are available for the Baltimore Community Fellowships, we are pleased to announce two additional fellowships. These new fellowships, sponsored by the Open Society Foundations’ Campaign for Black Male Achievement, will support individuals working with black men and boys in the areas of education, family, and work.
The Open Society Foundations / University of London scholarships in human rights will enable suitably qualified students from Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan to pursue an MA in Understanding and Securing Human Rights within the Institute of Commonwealth Studies, University of London.
The Open Society Foundations / Durham University scholarships enable suitably qualified from Afghanistan, Indonesia, Nepal and Palestine to pursue masters’ level study at the University of Durham in the fields of risk and environmental hazards; risk and security; and risk, health and public policy.
Offered in collaboration with the Open Society Foundations and the University of Oxford, these scholarships enable students of outstanding academic merit to pursue one-year taught postgraduate courses of study at the University of Oxford in subjects relevant to the needs of their countries.
Chachipe Map seeks nonstereotypical photographs that show Roma and non-Roma living together, and that approach topics in an open manner and even employ radically new perspectives. Please note that the entry deadline has been extended to January 15, 2012.

The French government program for Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan offers awards for postgraduate study at universities in France, in cooperation with the Open Society Foundations and the Centre National des Œuvres Universitaires et Scolaires.
