Equatorial Guinea renews backing to Morocco's territorial integrity
Morocco-Guinea, Politics, 5/14/2002

President Obiang Nguema Mbazogo of Equatorial Guinea has renewed his country's unconditional backing to Morocco's territorial integrity.

"Equatorial Guinea is and will remain a great and loyal ally of Morocco, backing all the Kingdom's actions, regionally and internationally," President Nguema said, while receiving the credentials of Larbi Refouh, as extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of Morocco to Equatorial Guinea.

Nguema also voiced gratitude to King Mohammed VI and to the government of Morocco for "the efforts made by the Moroccan authorities to help his country in all fields of cooperation," the Moroccan foreign affairs and cooperation department said in a release.

He paid tribute to King Mohammed VI for "his far-sighted policy and great vision not only in the management of the Kingdom's affairs but also for his action at the regional and international scenes, action that inspires the admiration of the international community."
