A no-nonsense father in the US has exacted a dose of revenge on his 15-year-old daughter after she complained on Facebook about having to do too many chores.
North Carolina teenager Hannah uploaded the rant on her Facebook wall this week in a letter entitled "Dear Parents", but which she blocked her parents from seeing. In the eight-minute video, which has now gone viral, Mr Jordan sits in a lawn chair wearing a cowboy hat and smoking a cigarette as he reads out his daughter's curse-filled letter.
"I don't know how to say how disappointed I am in you, and how disrespectful you were to every single adult in your life," Mr Jordan says after he has read the message.
"Kid, you've got it easy, way easy. It's about to get harder, it's about to get a whole lot harder."
The camera pans to the ground where Hannah's laptop, which Mr Jordan says he spent six hours upgrading with $130 worth of software the day before, is lying.
Mr Jordan pulls out a handgun and shoots nine bullets into Hannah's computer, including "one from mum".
The video, which was uploaded to YouTube on February 8, has attracted 1500 likes on Facebook, with Mr Jordan winning much praise for his parenting style.
"Wow! Tommy, not the way I would have handled it, but my daughter never went that far on FB. I applaud you for caring enough to teach your daughter respect for herself and others in such a memorable fashion," viewer Adam Philipp wrote on Facebook.
"You, sir, are my hero ... As a 17-year-old high school senior, I wish more kids were raised like this, like I was ... With tough love, and a bit of awesomeness ... I'm totally showing my dad this!!" another post by Ashleigh O'Callaghan read
In the letter, Hannah complains about having to make cups of coffee for her mother and father, mop the floors and wipe down the countertops without getting any pay for the chores.
"I am not your damn slave. It is not my responsibility to clean up your s---," she writes.
But Hannah's livid father, IT professional Tommy Jordan, somehow managed to view the wall post.
In what he described as a dose of "tough love", Mr Jordan filmed a video response to Hannah's 'letter' and posted it on her wall for all her friends to see.

A seven-year-old American girl escaped an alleged abduction attempt at a Walmart store, in an incident that was caught on camera.
Footage shows a man approach Georgia schoolgirl Brittney Baxter from behind as she was looking at toys in Bremen Walmart. The man grabbed the young girl and tried to put his hand over her mouth.
But he was forced to let go of Brittney after she struggled and screamed.
"I was just trying to kick as hard as I can," Brittney told WSBTV.
Brittney said the man first started talking to her as she was looking at toys.
"I just said, 'I'm going to see what my momma is doing,' and he just grabbed me and picked me up," she said.
Brittney's mother, Georgeann Baxter, was picking up groceries only metres away from Brittney when the attack took place.
"I was freaking out at that point. I just couldn't believe it," Ms Baxter said.
Thomas Woods, 25, was arrested after police used CCTV footage to identify a getaway car and traced it back to him, WSBTV reports. Woods, who was recently released from prison, told police he was not in the store.
He was charged with attempted kidnapping.
