Formed in 2008, Queen's Sustainability Office was created 
- to advance the university's green initiatives,
- to identify and implement new opportunities for working closely with faculty, students and staff on such initiatives, and
- to create a greater degree of awareness about environmental issues within the University community.
Queen's has a large and unique pool of talented researchers, students and staff that are engaged in a diverse set of sustainability-related activities. The Sustainability Office enables the convergence of all of these groups to create a new synergy, and allow Queen's to deepen its leadership role in responsible social, economic and environmental practices.
