Subscriptions to the digital edition of The Atlantic Magazine can be managed via your iTunes account. Issues are sold individually for $4.99 or for a year-long (ten issue) subscription which costs $21.99. Payment will be made through the iTunes store to your iTunes account and subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 2 4-hours before the end of the current period. Account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period, and identify the cost of the renewal. Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user’s Account Settings after purchase. No cancellation of the current subscription is allowed during active subscription period. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication.

This update contains automatic bookmarking in new magazine issues and the ability to archive and restore issues.
We strongly recommend iOS 5 for the best performance.

Support team non-existent
I am a print subscriber and have tried to enter my subscriber info vai delivery address and subscription number yet the application responds that it can't verify my subscription and am this locked out from viewing full content. I have done this a few times over a few week period.
I have sent an email to "support" and even asked for a response and have not even been given the courtesy of an acknowledgement.
The hard copy magazine is great, the iPad app team is incompetent.

Supports multitasking! Hooray! Also the the interface isn't hypersensitive anymore. Still, Atlantic links to a lot of videos in articles which I have to load through safari. Integration with Disqus is still a weak point. Overall a much needed and appreciated update.
