Al Jazeera cameraman Ali Hassan al Jaber was murdered near Benghazi, Libya. Assailants opened fire in an alleged "armed ambush" on a crew van carrying Al Jazeera Arabic team. The attack occurred as the team was returning from filming some protests outside Benghazi. Shots of a crowd gathered in the city's main square to honor al Jaber, a Qatari national. They waved Qatari flags and chanted slogans in support of Al Jazeera, "with our soul, with our blood, we'll defend Al Jazeera".
