The University main campus is located at
the intersection of 37 th and O Streets NW.
The Department of Chemistry main office is
located in Room 240 of the Reiss Science
Building (#25 on the campus
map). Faculty offices, research space,
and laboratories are located in both the
Reiss Science Building and in the nearby
White-Gravenor Hall (#29).

Turn right on Reservoir
Rd. Turn left off of

Parking
A limited number of visitor parking spaces
are available on an hourly or daily basis
at the Leavey Center P-1 or Lot A. These
spaces are managed separately by the Georgetown
University Hospital and can be reached by
entering campus from Reservoir Road Entrance
1. A limited number of daily parking spaces
are available in the Southwest Garage for
a flat rate of $12/day and can be reached
by entering campus from Canal Road or Prospect
Street.
Street parking around
campus is severely limited and strictly enforced
by the D.C. police (MPD) and the D.C. Department
of Public Works (DPW). Most streets require
a Zone 2 residential permit issued by the
District of Columbia for parking for longer
than two hours. A limited number of metered
spaces are available on Reservoir Road, 37th
Street and Prospect Street.
GEORGETOWN UNIVERSITY SHUTTLE to/from
campus
The Georgetown
University Transportation Service (GUTS)
shuttle regularly runs five shuttles connecting
the campus to the Georgetown University
Law Center, to University offices on Wisconsin
Avenue, to Metro stations at Rosslyn (Virginia)
and Dupont Circle (District of Columbia)
and to stops in North Arlington, Virginia.
METROBUS/METRORAIL to/from campus
The University is served by the G-2, D-2
and D-4 Metrobus routes. Check the Washington
Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA)
website for schedules. The closest Metrorail
stops are Rosslyn on the Blue and Orange
Lines and Dupont Circle on the Red Line. GUTS
shuttle buses operate daily to and from
campus from the Rosslyn and Dupont Metrorail
stations.
