Held Bowling Green school record of 267 points in 153 games … was named CCHA Player of the Year, All-America first team and First Team All Star in 1982 … was the first CCHA player to earn All-Academic honors three years in a row (1979-82) … was CCHA’s all-time leading scorer with 114 goals and 153 assists … BGSU freshman point record with 88 in 1979 … first Falcon hockey number retired and was elected to the BGSU Athletic Hall of Fame in 1987 … played seven NHL seasons with the New York Rangers and New Jersey Devils … retired from hockey in 1989 and received his law degree from Rutgers University in 1992. … George currently is vice president and general manager of the Washington Capitals.
