Egypt riot police marching
A massive contingent of at least 100 riot police went up Mohamed Mahmoud St, adjacent to the Interior Ministry, towards the front line on that street (nearer to Tahrir Square).

Al Jazeera's Asad Hashim could hear tear gas and shots (not sure if rubber, birdshot or live) being fired.
