Sharia isn't Democracy, therefore, how do you bring a Democratic Republic to a Islamic Theocracy? Honestly you can't do this... If only by conspiracy could such a thing be accomplished with a veil of a Democratic Republic, and inside really ruled by religious influence, if not overt, then subtle and covert.

@phooey108The U.S didnt destroy it, if they destroyed it they would have won.Vietnam has better relations with the U.S than China. China is a regional threat to Vietnam, The U.S navy recently did joint training operations with Nam. In cases of meddling i dont blame them, they had the Soviets to worry about.If Australia didnt go into Timor,theyd still be killing each other on mass. Were in there know after we got the Indonesians out of Timor, but I really hate how we didnt do anything earlier,

oh come on ambassador. the US opposed the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan because it believed in the rule of law and that larger countries should not be able to gobble up smaller countries?
What about Vietnam? What about the Bay of Pigs? What about the CIA orchestrated mayhem all over South America, in Greece, in Italy after World War 2. What about US support for Indonesia as it "gobbled up" east Timor? What about Israel gobbling up Palestine? Once again. C'mon ambassador!
