7 dead, 3 injured in shooting attack at Christian university in USA, suspect detained
A gunman opened fire Monday at a small Christian university in California, killing at least seven people, wounding three more and setting off an intense, chaotic manhunt that ended with his capture at a nearby shopping center.

Siberian Passenger Plane Crash Kills 31
Thirty one people died and 12 others were heavily injured in a passenger jet crash on Monday morning in Russia's Tyumen region, in Siberia. Investigators working at the scene are reported saying that technical failure could be the main reason behind the tragedy.

Interim Ministry Brigade Brokers Ceasefire After Clashes between Neighbouring Militias
A Libyan police brigade made up of former rebels is reported to have intervened to quell clashes that broke out between militias from the neighbouring Libyan towns of Ragdalein and Zwara some 110 kilometres from the Tunisian border on Monday. Only 10 kilometres separate the towns.

Turkey to Increase Trade With Tunisia
Following a visit to the Tunisian capital, Tunis, Turkish economy minister Zafer Caglayan, accompanied by Turkish Exporters’ Assembly (TIM) Chairman Mehmet Buyukeksi and a delegation consisting of 200 businessmen, said that Turkey is set to increase its trade volume with Tunis from $1.1 billion to $5 billion.

Libyan Association of American Universities Graduates Established in Tripoli
Libyans who graduated from various American universities have established an NGO, the Libyan Association of American Universities Graduates (LAAUG), aiming at bringing educated members of the society together to rebuild new democratic Libya and forge cultural and scientific exchange with their counterparts in the USA.


UNCHR: 74,802 Individuals Still Internally Displaced in Libya
In March 74,802 individuals were still internally displaced in Libya, the United Nations Refugee Agency, UNHCR has reported after conducting continued protection monitoring in places like Tawergha camps in Benghazi and in Tarhouna, Derj/Ghedamis and Yefren together with its partners (see table).
