BBC College of Journalism Blog - A vigorous and robust discussion about journalism from every perspective.

This was not the easiest of rides for the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport. Not only did Jeremy Hunt MP have to contend with the persistent interviewing style of Raymond Snoddy - who asked him at least five times to comment on Rupert Murdoch and the BSkyB deal - but he was confronted by around 40 student protesters chanting "Tory vulture", among other slightly more derogatory phrases.

He was at the London School of Economics to speak at a Media Society/POLIS event on the future of media policy. The subject of Sky was off limits - but not local TV, the British Film Council, the BBC, the licence fee and S4C.
