Simon Ford
Simon Ford spent 20 years in local radio before joining the BBC College of Journalism. He worked in Norfolk, Suffolk, Yorkshire and the East Midlands, where he presented news programmes including the BBC Radio Nottingham Breakfast Show.
"I used to have a love-hate relationship with my alarm clock," he says. "Even without one, I still wake up around four every morning. It's a hard habit to break."
In 2006 he published Writing News for Local Radio. He currently produces online learning material for the College of Journalism.
