    • The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), a regional bloc, has condemned what it terms a coup attempt in Guinea-Bissau, the Ivorian foreign minister has said.

      "We have received some difficult information from Guinea-Bissau, and this information indicates to us that there is a coup underway," Daniel Kablan Duncan told reporters after a meeting of the 15-nation regional group in Abidjan.

If the nation destroys these elements they are risking future economic profit as well as the most treasured resources of its unique people and environment to big business.
      • Herbert Ayala Amazing, I grew up in El Salvador and this is the first time I heard of this ethnic Central American group. I really hope that they for once are respected and their land protected.
