Egypt's electoral shakeup

Ten presidential candidates disqualified, including three front-runners.

The Egyptian elections committee rejected the appeals of 10 disqualified presidential candidates sparking debate about the fate of the presidential race.

Some argue the #Jan25 revolution has been taken away from the streets and placed in the hands of the political elite.

Others believe the exclusion of polarising figures will make room for more moderate candidates.
