Southside Speedway Track Facts
Southside Speedway opened April 15, 1959 and is better known as “The Toughest Short Track in the South”. The track is a paved 1/3 mile oval located on Genito Road in Midlothian, VA. The speedway was established in 1959 by J.M. Wilkinson and is currently run by his daughter, Sue W. Clements. The speedway features 7 divisions including Late Models, Modifieds, Grand Stocks, Street Stocks, U-Cars, Champ Karts and Legends. In 2012 the speedway will host 12 nights / afternoons of racing from April 1, 2012 through August 31, 2012.
