Dave Goldberg
Latest entry April 25, 2012
Our resident radical Independent has joined the mainstream, at least as far as residence is concerned.

Look for Dave while on the street corners of Massachusetts' bustling urban communities. He's the one behind the wheel of the Swedish car.

But don't fret, "Gone Galt" will continue to inspire no matter what the political ideology.

This Wormtown Warrior has “Gone Galt” in the western reaches of Worcester County.

What’s that you ask? The expression comes from an Ayn Rand novel, the point being to simplify, engage in self-reliance, and forge your own path. Not survivalism, but definitely a different perspective for someone who pounded the downtown pavement for nearly thirty years and was active on the Worcester political scene.

Since July, the cable TV is gone and not missed. News comes from many sources including blogs and history books. There really is nothing new under the political sun, it’s all been argued and messed up before. Perspective is what is needed right now.

For me, I pledge to put my all into this blog and give you something to ponder. You will not be bored. Please read on.

I work per diem in my local school district as an RN. When I am not working or exploring the world with my two boys, I  volunteer locally with my church and other groups, facilitate a kids yoga playgroup, and am active with my boys through the YMCA.  I take breastfeeding classes as my continuing education through my nursing career, and enjoy every moment of that.

Getting to know your Friendly Neighborhood Dave. OK, so you may have guessed I'm not a MassMom; I fall into the category of "and Dads too!" I'm a native of Central Mass., married to a beautiful woman from the South Shore, and the happy dad of two wonderful little boys. My wife and I are part of what seems to be a growing trend these days, where she spends her days in the office working full time and I do the majority of rearing our boys during the day. When I'm not entertaining and caring for the little ones I'm juggling a part-time office job and running a wedding photography business from my home. I enjoy sharing my experiences here, and having discussions about all that encompasses raising the little ones--from a dad's perspective!
