CARAVAN Festival of the Arts opens at the St. John’s Church in Maadi at 7pm

CARAVAN arts festival is an initiative that comes out of a vision that the arts can enhance understanding and encourage friendship between Muslims and Christians. Opening presentations by Yousra, with a special performance by singer Rula Zaki and participation of 45 premier visual artists.

 'Egypt Above All' exhibition opens at the Museum of Modern Egyptian Art

Museum of Modern Egyptian Art at the Cairo Opera House grounds will host Ramzy Mustafa. This exhibition is "an invite to all, showcasing the importance of developing Egypt through fine arts." More details here

Responding to a call of Zakaria Ibrahim, El-Tanboura established quarter a century ago revives the musical legacy which was under the threats of loss and vanishing in the city of Port Said.

Boghdady Jazz Big Band at the Cairo Opera House at 8pm

Boghdady Band is a large ensemble of professional musicians who play jazz, Latin American music, and various 20th-century American wind music, in addition to some Egyptian compositions. Always a good treat for the audience!

Start With Yourself VOL III opens in Alexandria at 2pm

A multi-arts festival will take place in a public space in the city of Alexandria incorporating many artists from Germany, France, Portugal, Austria, Egypt and Palestine. The festival includes music performances, art workshops for children and exhibitions.

Sharara Sextet at Alexandria Opera House at 8pm

The concert will include solo performance by Attia Sharara who will perform his own compositions. Conductor of the evening: Hassan Sharara.

This visual testimony is created by children who have experienced a revolution that came to their streets. The exhibition is part of “Take a Stance,” a popular campaign for the protection of children under the age of 18 who during the revolutionary times have been arrested, detained and tortured.
