The tablet market was very tough for companies last year. Just about every company tried to release a 10-inch tablet to compete with the iPad but sales just didn't take off. Much of this had to do with pricing. The Kindle Fire was the first real competitor to Apple and it has quickly captured over half of all Android tablet sales. Now Lenovo is taking that same approach with a smaller, more affordable tablet but trying to provide it with more features than Amazon's expanded e-reader. Is this the tablet to consider with its $200 price tag? Find out in my review of the Lenovo IdeaPad A1 tablet.

Samsung has had a rough run in the tablet market. They tried hard to compete on the high end with pricing very similar to Apple's iPad products. With the release of more affordable Android tablets, their sales faltered. The company has taken a hard look at their product lineup and decided that they needed to compete on price. The result is a much more affordable 7-inch tablet with a list price of $250. Does their latest 7-inch tablet have what it takes to compete at this lower price? Find out in my review of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 tablet.

Acer first released their 7-inch tablet late last year. Earlier this year, the company then announced that it would be upgraded with the latest version of Android, 4.0 or Ice Cream Sandwich. That update has finally been released to consumers. Is this relatively old tablet still relevant now that the software has been upgraded? Find out in my review of the Acer Iconia Tab A100 tablet.

With the success of the iPad and the dwindling interest by consumers in netbooks, it is not surprising that companies have been eager to enter the tablet marketplace. As a consumer, the choices are going to be difficult between so many similar devices. Even though they may look very similar, there are going to be some major differences that make one tablet better for one individual over another. Find out which things to look at when you consider buying a tablet PC in my latest buyer's guide.
