Sounds contradictory, but sometimes technology can actually help you get closer to nature. Take, for instance, the following eight iPhone and Android mobile apps, which arm you with ways to find nearby green spaces and the information to identify anything from animal tracks to constellations to rare butterflies. Most of the apps are available offline as well, so you can venture as far off the beaten track as you please.
NatureFind
Discover nearby parks, zoos, botanical gardens, nature centers, wildlife refuges, and more with the location-based NatureFind app. The app also pulls from event listings so you can join organized hikes or participate in educational lectures.
Available for iPhone for free.

Consumers often assume that the cleaning products industry is strongly regulated by the government, but EWG Senior Analyst Nneka Leiba tells Yahoo! Shine that this is a misconception. "Most hazardous ingredients are legal and many are unlabeled." These include toxic compounds such as formaldehyde that are banned in other countries and are known to or suspected of causing cancer, blindness, asthma, burns, and other afflictions. There is also little information on how the hundreds of chemicals we are exposed to react together and what their cumulative effects on the body are.

Is healthy eating expensive? Well . . . yes and no. "Expensive" is a relative term, but before we even get into all that, let's take a moment to define what we mean by healthy, shall we? We'll go with a more inclusive definition, something along the lines of: whole foods, mostly plants, organic when possible. Can we all agree on that? So with that out of the way, let's get down to business.
Is it expensive to eat healthfully? Well . . . that depends. Slim Jims and Top Ramen will always be cheaper than real food, so we're going to have to set that stuff aside for the sake of discussion

Know your Farmers Market Options: Buying from Farmers vs. Purveyors
The key? Get organized and it will only take a little extra time to master saving at least half the amount you spend on groceries.
If you spend $600 a month on food, you could be a saving $3,600 a year! And that is after-tax money. That means you would have had to make about $5,000 before taxes to pay the $3,600 extra that you are unwittingly spending now.
