In April 2009, The New York Times Company Foundation suspended new grant-making activities. The matching gifts program was suspended as of May 22, 2009.
The Boston Globe Foundation
The mission of the Boston Globe Foundation is to empower community-based organizations to effect real change in the areas of greatest need, where the Globe is uniquely positioned to add the most value. In April 2009, The Boston Globe Foundation suspended new grant-making activities. The Boston Globe Foundation administers Globe Santa, a holiday toy-distribution program that collects donations from the public to purchase and deliver toys to thousands of children in Greater Boston.
Since 1912 our Neediest Cases Fund has used the pages of The Times to raise money for those in the most desperate circumstances.
The New York Times College Scholarship Program, established in 1998, has awarded scholarships to over 200 New York City students for their academic accomplishment, community involvement, and determination in overcoming economic adversity and other challenges. Celebrate a decade of winners with Scholar Times
