Kingdom recalls ambassador from Egypt, closes embassy and consulates due to security concerns

An official Saudi source announced today that the Kingdom has recalled its ambassador to Egypt for consultations and close its embassy in Cairo and consulates in Alexandria and Suez due to unjustified demonstrations in front of the Kingdom's missions.  The source added that attempts by protesters to storm the missions threatened safety of Saudi and Egyptian staff and that the demonstrations disrupting the work of the embassy and consulates to do diplomatic and consular duties, including facilitating the travel of Egyptian workers, Umrah performers and visitors to the Kingdom.
