Cutting edge Cardiac Surgery Center opened in Madinah

Madinah Governor Prince Abdulaziz bin Majed bin Abdulaziz patronized the opening ceremony yesterday of the new Cardiac Surgery Center, which was built at a cost of SR 150 million [$40 million] and has an in-patient capacity of 130 beds. The ceremony was attended by Minister of Health Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, who commented that the Center is equipped with the most advanced medical technology in the world and will serve the people of Madinah well. During his address, Dr. Al-Rabeeah reported that the Ministry of Health is currently building and modernizing 8 hospitals, 103 primary health care centers, a dental center, and other medical projects in Madinah Province. Furthermore, the Ministry is carrying out a large number of medical projects throughout the Kingdom, including 119 hospitals and medical towers, 1,414 primary health care centers, 13 laboratories, a blood bank, 11 dental centers, and 8 diabetes centers.
