Kingdom participates in launch of campaign to eradicate polio in Sudan

Saudi Arabia participated in a ceremony held yesterday by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in coordination with the Sudanese Ministry of Health to mark the launch of a campaign to eradicate polio and eliminate Vitamin A deficiency in Sudan. The ceremony was attended by a number of senior officials, who thanked the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz for supporting the initiative. Subsequently, Suleiman bin Ali Al-Budair, an Advisor at the Saudi Embassy in Khartoum, delivered a vaccination to the first child, marking the beginning of the campaign.
